Scott C Edmiston BSc Chartered MCSI, Cert PFS: Branch Principal & Investment Manager; 

Scott began his career in financial services over 28 years ago, gaining experience working with both clients and advisers initially through Zurich Financial Group and then as a Partner of Positive Solutions. Prior to his career, Scott was awarded a golf scholarship to Georgia Southern University, USA. He then went on to study business, graduating from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh. He holds qualifications with the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investments (CISI) and The Chartered Insurance Institute (CII). Scott spends most of his spare time with his two daughters and keeping active by taking part in several sports including surfing and snowboarding. He is a member of Gullane golf club in East Lothian and The Dukes, in St Andrews.

Claire McLetchie MA ASIP: Head of  Branch Research;

Claire graduated from Glasgow University in 1990 with an honours degree in Political Economy and started her career with Standard Life Investments (SLI) in Edinburgh. Claire specialised in Asia Pacific markets including Japan and India, managing unit trusts and pension funds of circa £900 million with responsibility for both stock selection and asset allocation. As an Investment Director, Claire opened the SLI office in Singapore before relocating to Hong Kong in 2001. She joined Munich Ergo Asset Management (MEAG) Hong Kong in 2006 as Investment Director and the Association for Sustainable & Responsible Investment in Asia (ASrIA) as Executive Director in 2008.

Phil Nolan BAcc (Hons) Chartered MCSI: Investment Manager;

Born and raised in Dundee, Phil graduated from Dundee University in 2004 with an Honours degree in Accountancy. Following this, he began his career in financial services and has spent over 17 years helping clients in a variety of specialisms including retirement planning, cash flow analysis, investment research and portfolio analysis. Phil holds qualifications with the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments (CISI) and The Chartered Insurance Institute (CII). In his free time, he keeps active through playing hockey and has held a variety of committee positions at Monarchs Hockey Club, including President and Treasurer in recent years. In the off-season, he plays golf and is a member of Downfield Golf Club in Dundee. Phil also likes to spend time hillwalking and snowboarding, when the weather permits, in the Scottish Highlands.

Amber Edmiston BSc (Hons) : Investment Analyst;

Amber graduated in June 2023 with first-class honours in Psychology with Management at the Edinburgh campus of Heriot-Watt University. Amber’s investment services work experience began in late 2018 when she secured her first internship with the branch. Amber’s passion and interest in behavioral economics and finance allowed her to develop a unique understanding of financial markets, including market sentiment and common investor biases. During her degree studies she continued working for the branch, primarily focusing on multi-asset analysis and reporting relative to client portfolios. Amber is currently working towards achieving the CFA Level 1 qualification. When Amber isn’t living in Spain, she enjoys travelling to meet and catch up with her friends from around the world, playing sports including tennis and hockey in addition to writing and performing her songs.

Conor Whitehead BSc (Hons) : Investment Analyst;

Conor graduated from Heriot-Watt University in 2022 with an honours degree in Actuarial Science. Having obtained a First-Class, he gained a full block of exam exemptions from the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries. In addition to his degree, Conor pursued his deep passion for the investment world, becoming an avid investor and analyst. His research focuses primarily on analysing attractive opportunities and achieving the benefits from long-term compounding of capital. Conor’s other interests include football, where he graduated from an SFA Performance school and currently serves as a member of the Lanarkshire Referee Association as a Scottish FA registered referee. Conor also likes reading, travelling, and has recently taken up golf, which he is enjoying the challenge of.
